Expedition Capital Advisors LLC (“Expedition”) is a real estate investment firm that specializes in developing preferred relationships with real estate operating companies. Expedition utilizes these relationships to make both GP and LP investments across multiple product types and geographies to achieve superior risk-adjusted returns. Expedition is continually pursuing new preferred relationships that align with this targeted investment strategy.

Ty Miller | Principal

Ty Miller was President of A.G. Hill Partners (AGH), where he managed the family office and its investment activities since 2009. In 2010, he launched the firm’s investments in real estate, focused on securing relationships with platform companies with the discretionary right to fund their pipelines. Ty has personally co-invested in most of the AGH real estate investments including the operating company relationships of Expedition. Ty’s work experience includes 28 years at Bank One, where he served as President and CEO of Bank One Global Treasury Services (GTS), until Bank One’s merger with JPMorgan Chase in August 2004. Prior to GTS he was Chairman and CEO of Bank One, Texas NA. He currently serves on the board of A.H. Belo Corporation (NYSE:AHC) and on the Investment Sub-Committee of Texas Health Resources. Ty earned a BBA from Southern Methodist University and an MBA at the Cox School of Business.

Frank Schubert | Principal

Frank Schubert has spent over 25 years in the multi-family business. Since 2010 he has advised AGH and personally co-invested in the multi-family and student living investments with the existing operating platforms. Prior to that he spent 20 years with JPI, a large multi-family and student housing residential company of which he was a co-founder. JPI developed and acquired over $3B of projects during his tenure there. Frank was the chief financial officer of the company and responsible for capital market activity and strategic planning. Prior to JPI, he was controller of Southland Financial Corporation and an auditor with Price Waterhouse. He is also past Chairman of The Real Estate Council of Dallas. He is currently on the board of Core Fellowship and African Leadership and Reconciliation Ministry, both of which are biblically based ministries working with church, private and government leaders. Frank graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA.

Jason Claro | Principal

Jason Claro was the Managing Director of Real Estate at AGH. Under Jason’s purview, AGH invested in deals totaling a collective market value over $2.8 billion. Jason directed investments in several real estate sectors: senior living, office, retail, lot development, medical office, industrial, multifamily, student housing and hospitality. Jason specializes in making investments via equity, debt and mezzanine debt in both developments and acquisitions. Jason focuses on partner procurement and relationships along with partnership and capital structuring. Prior to joining AGH, Jason was a founding partner of a commercial real estate company that developed and acquired commercial property and notes collateralized with commercial property. Prior to that company, Jason worked at Cypress Equities, the acquisition and development arm of the Staubach Company. Jason started his career in the Dallas office of Ernst & Young. Jason is on the board of the Folsom Institute for Real Estate at SMU. Jason graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a dual major in Accounting and Finance.

Brock Robertson | Vice President

Brock joined AGH as a Senior Analyst in January 2015. In this role, Brock focused on all underwriting and due diligence associated with AGH’s acquisition and development activity. Additionally, Brock was engaged in the asset management, disposition, and financial reporting for AGH’s existing real estate portfolio. Prior to joining AGH, Brock spent three years at HFF as an analyst on the debt/equity placement team. While at HFF, Brock participated in the origination of more than $1.9 billion of debt and equity financing for multifamily, retail, office, industrial, student housing and hospitality assets across the United States. Prior to HFF, Brock attended Texas A&M University, where he earned both a Master’s degree in real estate and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Mays Business School. Brock is active in The Real Estate Council (TREC) and is a passionate supporter of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC).
